Hi. It's me again! Rebecca, from Rebecca's Review and Rebecca's Kawaii Review. Well now I'm here again with a crafting blog! If you guys read my other blogs, you may know that I love art and crafting and sewing and stuff like that. I've been debating with my self for a few months now over if I should have an art blog or not! Finally, I've decided yes, I should have an art blog. Now let me give you some knowledge on my artistic background. When I was really little I used to LOVE drawing. Then, when I went to elementary school ( in 1st grade ) I realized I was kind of good at drawing. Then, in 4th grade I took a test to see if I could get into my school's gifted art program. I didn't make it. But, I would always show my friends who did make it in my drawings. They would say things like " I wouldn't know where to start on that drawing" or simply " that's really good." In fifth grade ( last year) one of my classmates started asking me to do drawings for him. Characters like Bowser or Luigi. I would always give him the copies I made, but he would say things like " I will buy you Chicago if you give me the original." But I never did. As and artist it's hard to let go of things you created. Then, September of 2013 my little sister wasn't feeling well and my parents took her to the emergency room. So there I was at home with my grandpa on YouTube, then... BAM! I saw a video on how to make a milk carton for your dolls and I was like ' if they can make that I can make it'! Of course it was a fail, as most first tries turn out. But, then I saw another tutorial, one for how to make doll Chinese take out and I grabbed my glue stick and computer paper and got to work. At the time I was not a crafter only an artist, so I did not have any fancy supplies like hot glue guns or X-acto blades. I didn't even have construction paper! But, after that night I fell in love with the art of crafting and making miniatures for my dolls. My mom's friend who used to share a salon suite with her ( before she got her own) makes jewelry. According to her she taught me in the summer of 2012 how to make jewelry, but I have a bad memory and don't remember. As far as I remember, I've only been making jewelry since the January of 2014. I've really come a long way from what I used to do. Now, I have dresser full of art supplies, a shelf full of paints, and a whole lot of finished crafts to go with them! So I hope your ready to absorb all of my craziness! Bye!
Stay Crafty,
Rebecca J.
